Oviedo High School
Located in the heart of Oviedo, Florida is Oviedo’s first established high school, Oviedo High. Oviedo High is located just a quick walk away from historic downtown Oviedo and a quick drive away from the University of Central Florida. Located in an “A” rated school district, Hagerty prepares children from grades 9-12 to be “competent and productive” as they enter into the next chapters of their life.
OHS offers 31 AP courses, potentially over $3 million earned in scholarships, a 97% graduation rate, and over 52 student organizations available for students. Students have the chance of taking a variety of in-depth courses, such as Biotechnology, Culinary Arts, Automotive Repair, Interior Design, Early Childhood Education, and TV Production.
The athletics program is robust, with state championship titles on the girls and boys swim team, state championship title on the girls bowling team, and has gained the title of the Program of the Year from the Florida Athletic Coaches Association. OHS is recognized as one of America’s Most Challenging High Schools by the Washington Post and has earned a Silver Medal from US News and World Report.
